Guest guest
I made it here and trying to stay on plan... I had a tough time as my family took me to a buffet last night. I am one of those people who doesn't like buffets as the thought of food sitting out kinda grosses me out but I did ok... esp since there werent many healthy optionsI did the Weight Watchers Punch workout this AM beginner level with my mom. I liked it - Hucklebee leads it and I love her. I have to watch the kick one I have with PowerFit to see if it is similar... but it was a nice 30 min workout that both my mom (80!) and I could each get a workout. I used my hand weights and higher impact so did get a sweat on... have a good onejudy from DC now in KS !
Guest guest
judy, i'm not a fan of the buffet, either. stick with filling half the plate with salad, 1/4 with a vegetable (thatdoesn't look too greasy), a small piece protein. there are usually peaches for dessert... (it isn't the food that freaks me out--it is the buffet regular who just keeps going back to fill his/her plate that bothers me!!) the workout with mom--fun!! is she ready to spin, lol?! stacey
Guest guest
Doing anything at all when you are away from home is a huge accomplishment! ;-) I'm sure being in DC you are used to getting in some activity on foot and - well that just doesn't happen in most parts ot the country. When I was young I LOVED buffets. We didn't keep much food in the house and we were always broke post parental split up. I learned the fine art of sneaking biscuits, cookie and condiments home from that era. Now the only buffets I like are salad ones (still have to be careful) and fresh seafood. Give me a pile of peel and eat shrimp and I'm good to go. They should do a study on the average waist circumference of someone who visits a buffet on a weekly basis versus someone who hardly ever goes. Would be interesting ;-) a > > I made it here and trying to stay on plan... I had a tough time as my family > took me to a buffet last night. Guest guest
Bosnian food? And I thought Austin had it all. We'll have to try it when I get out to visit. My sister doesn't come see me - so I have two reasons to make it out that way. ;-) > > > > > > > Wow!! How cool that your mom and you did it together!
