I made it here and trying to stay on plan... I had a tough time as my family took me to a buffet last night. I am one of those people who doesn't like buffets as the thought of food sitting out kinda grosses me out but I did ok... esp since there werent many healthy optionsI did the Weight Watchers Punch workout this AM beginner level with my mom. I liked it - Hucklebee leads it and I love her. I have to watch the kick one I have with PowerFit to see if it is similar... but it was a nice 30 min workout that both my mom (80!) and I could each get a workout. I used my hand weights and higher impact so did get a sweat on... have a good onejudy from DC now in KS !

Wow!! How cool that your mom and you did it together! I want to be your mom when I'm 80, still able to do a workout like that!

I don't know if I suggested this to you already but... if you haven't already, set a goal right now for where you want to be weight-wise and habit-wise when you get home. If you plan to lose, decide how much you think is really possible. If you think staying the same would be good, then that's fine. So is gaining a little bit but again, set a number that you really don't want to go over. Goal setting will truly guide your behavior. You can do the same with the healthy habits you are working on reestablishing. Think about which ones do you really want to continue working on while you're there and which are you okay with relaxing a bit. Set goals for them too. Vacations (and buffets) are part of life and we have to have plans for dealing with them in healthy, non-stressed (at least about food and diet) ways. You're already doing absolutely awesome, Judy! We'll look forward tomore updates when you have time! It was good to hear about Punch too. I have found certain centers, including one I sub at ocassionally, in this area are selling it now. I haven't bought it for myself yet though. I really just want to get the DVD and not the gloves so I'm waiting to see just that on VF trade lists, ebay or amazon! ;-)

judy,

i'm not a fan of the buffet, either. stick with filling half the plate with

salad, 1/4 with a vegetable (thatdoesn't look too greasy), a small piece

protein. there are usually peaches for dessert... (it isn't the food that freaks

me out--it is the buffet regular who just keeps going back to fill his/her plate

that bothers me!!)

the workout with mom--fun!! is she ready to spin, lol?!

Bosnian food? And I thought Austin had it all. We'll have to try it when I get

out to visit. My sister doesn't come see me - so I have two reasons to make it

out that way. ;-)
