Good news!  A long story short, I'm making my next mortgage payment 3 days late but there's a grace period, late fees don't start til the 15th so tomorrow's paycheck will go to Visa, savings, some for groceries, and TRAINING WITH NOEL!  I'm excited.  I don't think I've trained with him since the first Tuesday in June and I miss it a lot!

I haven't done too badly on my own but I am needing a serious push in the weight training department.  I miss the 3-4 day DOMS, Fitness, and of course, Noel!  24 Hour Fitness seems like a dream to me now almost.  I don't miss it, and in my heart I belong to Fitness.

I feel so good today having run yesterday that I have decided to train for a half marathon.  Sometime in 2011 I will run one, provided my feet and knees are up for it.  It has really sucked not being able to run these past few weeks and getting to do it again is nothing short of exhilarating!   I am running my 5K on Sunday which will be great fun but the thing is it's identical to my run at lunch so it's not that great an achievement for me to finish it anymore.  3 miles used to seem like a lot to me but now that I've ran 5 miles that's my new threshold.  I'm not a competitive person and could care less about times or winning, so for me the goal is the distance.

My next Shamrock Run will probably be the 15K.  That's only 9.32 miles, not even quite double what I can already do.  Of course it's very important to cross train, so Noel and Yoga too all the way!

I confess I also want to run more so that I can EAT MORE CARBS.  I don't have a huge sweet tooth, I just want to eat more whole wheat / multigrain bread more than anything, I swear when I eat a piece of bread I can literally feel my cells doing a happy dance.  I don't even need the butter!  Just the bread!  But when limited to 150 carbs a day it goes fast.  One 6 " Subway sandwich has around 54 carbs and that's without cheese or any sauce other than mustard, which is what I get (veggie max patty, chicken, buffalo, roast beef, turkey, subway club are all under 10g fat) so there's a third of my daily allowance right there :(  I swear for me the bread is the best part of the whole damned sandwich, that and the pickles.

I figure if I up my intense cardio I get to have more carbs.  3 miles a day doesn't cut it though, it needs to be more intense than this to warrant extra carb allotment.  I look at all the marathoners in Runners World and they are SKINNY (in my opinion too skinny, I don't find this body type attractive at all).  I'm pretty sure they can eat just about whatever they want, hence, more running in 's future if her feet and knees can take it.  Plus to cross the finish line at 9.32 miles will be a PR for me!  I will brag about it for weeks afterward, I'm sure!

Rambling,
