Guest guest Posted August 5, 2007 Report Share Posted August 5, 2007 Because than it is liability and responsibility for very expensive total health care for the masses and all needs a tremendous drain on the economy - health and drug providers - insurance co's and systems to nursing homes and end stage terminal care centers and everything and all our needs in-between. I have read statements that we would bankrupt the economy and the reasons for not identifying taking so long to officially identify Non-A Non-B Hep as HCV and taking until 1992 to pass laws to mandatory test for HCV and make our nations blood banks and supplies safer for everyone. Did I receive my official letter from D.C. so many years ago identifying me as receiving massive amounts of tainted HCV blood transfusions and to seek testing and medical follow-up immediately - Nope - because only a token few letters were sent out and the rest stayed buried in D.C. Testing education and biohazardous standards in the medical profession is still not up to par. It is oxymora to the highest degree and with so many peoples lives. The HCV Epidemic is blamed mostly on IV drug users which is a high risk group. We all need to get over work through and past the destructive denial - blame - anger - why me and how and why I contracted HCV stages and get on with our HCV lives support knowledge base and support of others also with HCV reform advocation be survivors and live our lives well.
