I don't know about the healing of ulcers, but like Ernest said, there is a lot

to be said for the relief of GERD--gastro-esophageal reflux disease--that's

something I've had first-hand experience with. I had stopped brewing for a

couple of years because my cultures got moldy. But, before that I had had a

severe case of GERD; we're talking serious symptoms, even from only drinking

water - 24/7. I couldn't get away from it for a minute.

I wasn't taking anything for it at the time because there didn't seem to be

anything for it besides drinking baking soda with water and Tumms, Rolaids, etc.

I was introduced to KT, and within a couple of months it had subsided, so I had

all but forgotten that it was an issue for me for years. Then my SCOBY got

moldy and I couldn't get any more for a loooong time. I ended up on medications

that only worked while I was taking them. It was at that point that I realized

I could get one off the internet, so got a fresh 'mama' SCOBY from HANNAH CRUM

and resumed brewing immediately. I still took my omeprazole while on the KT,

just to be on the safe side. A couple of months later, I suddenly had to be

away from home for a week without my Kombucha OR the pharmaceuticals, so I

figured I was royally screwed. But my KT really came through for me. I had NO

SYMPTOMS the whole time. Now I drink a soda bottle of my homemade KT every day,

and I am still symptom free, and LOVING IT.

Hi EveryOne,

People have sent posts to the list over the years who have used Kombucha tea to

help them heal their ulcers. Might be worthwhile checking the messages archives.

If any one is reading this and has used KT for healing an ulcer please consider

sharing your experience.

I don't remember exactly how they did so but it would seem like a good idea to

start slowly a little bit of Kombucha at first and even dilute that with water

if it causes any problems.

Please let us know how it goes. Thank you,

Bev
