Guest guest
You can use other butters or oils if you wish, but this is what I do. Enjoy!!! TLC Soaps and Sundries Butter Bath Fizzies 1 cup Baking Soda 1/2 cup Citric Acid 1/2 cup Cornstarch 2 tbsp. Cocoa Butter or Unrefined Shea Butter 2 tbsp. Rice Bran Oil Fragrance is optional, I usually do not use one in these, but you can use 1/2 to 1 tsp. of Fragrance or Essential Oils. Food Processor Plastic Candy Molds (small molds with simple designs) Something flat to press the mixture into the mold First thing is that if you use the Food Processor, either have one that you will not use for food or if you will use this for food later, do not add the Fragrance Oil or Essential Oil in the mix till you turn it out into a bowl. Then mix the scenting oils in with a fork. The reason not to mix in the scenting oils is that they will penetrate into the plastic bowl of the food processor and will get into any foods that are later prepared in the processor. Blend the dry ingredients together by pulsing the processor. Have the Cocoa Butter melted with the Rice Bran Oil. While pulsing the processor, drizzle the oil into it till the mix comes together. You don’t want it like a dough, you want it to hold together just a bit when you squeeze some on your hand. Then pack into your mold using lots of pressure so that it forms a hard compact form when it is dried. Let them set in the mold for an hour or so, the unmold them and allow them to set in a dry place and then package. This will leave an oily film on the tub, but is such a nice indulgence from time to time that it is well worth having to clean the tub out afterwards. I have found that I do not need any liquid like water or witch hazel to hold it together, but that might be because we are in a lot of humidity here in Ga., so you might find you need to sprits a tiny amount in yours. Hope Y’all enjoy!!!! -- Rita...Homeschooling Mom in Georgia May the ~A~ngels up ~A~bove Guide you with Love ~A~ http://www.tlcsoaps.com/soapmaking.htm
