I took a furlough day yesterday and decided to go out of town to buy me some new clothes for work since nothing fits me anymore. I started out in Walmart and they had a bunch of workout clothes on sale and some cheap sports bras so I bought some. I didn't find any work clothes I liked there. After that I went to Marshall's and they had a lot of really nice, brand name work out clothes there, so I bought a whole bunch of them, my husband was with me and wanted some new shorts and some undies there so I bought those for him. As I was at the checkstand getting ready to pay I looked over and saw some movie DVD's. I noticed there were some workout DVD's also. I got out of line and went to go look at them. I ended up buying: The Firm: Cardio Sculpt Blaster for $1.00, Jillian s-The Biggest Winner 2 DVD set for $7.00, three Kathy ones: Tummy Trimmers, Build Muscle Shrink Fat, and Peel off the Pounds Pilates, these were 3.99 each. I didn't find any work clothes there either. Then we went to Target. My daughter needed a few more school supplies for the girls so while she was looking there it was right next to the fitness section. I decided to just go look but I wasn't going to buy anything. I saw these cute little go fit pink work out gloves, they came with some sort of DVD, I don't know what it is, but they were so cute I just had to buy them. Too much money-$15.00, there were others there that were cheaper, but not as cute, so of course I bought the expensive ones. Right next to them was an end display of workout DVD's. I ended up buying the same one my friend bought the other day, Be a Knockout with Kendra, and I also bought the Pussycat Dolls workout, I have no idea why as it is a dance workout whick I am not crazy about, but I do love their music so I just had to have it. And guess what, Target also had workout clothes on sale. I bought a whole bunch more. They didn't have any work clothes I liked either, I am a very had to fit size due to my lack of a booty and my big belly so it is hard to find things that fit right. So now, I have a ton of new workout clothes, some new DVD's and some cool workout gloves but still no clothes for work. After that we went out to eat, it was a Chinese buffet that my family loves. They also have a Mongolian BBQ there where they cook your food up fresh for you. I got some noodles and then loaded up my plate with broccoli, cabbage, bean sprouts and other veggies. I asked the guy if he could cook them up for me with no oil and only Teriyaki sauce, garlic and a little bit of chile, he did and it was so yummy. For dessert I had some cantaloupe, some bananas with strawberry sauce and a fortune cookie. With all the walking I did yesterday, I don't feel bad at all, although I probably ate more than I should have. When I got home, the UPS truck had dropped off the shoes that I had ordered from Road Runner sports. They were some Saucony running shoes (I don't actually run yet, but am planning to start soon and they were so cheap). This is my fourth pair of fitness shoes I have bought in a 6 week period. I guess I don't really need anymore for a while. So now I am very broke, still have no clothes that fit me for work, but I will look darn good while I am working out. I had a blast as I don't go shopping very often, you can now see why. Today I did the Firm video that I bought yesterday, the cardio sculpt blaster one. I liked it ok, it was kinda short and not a very hard workout, but I hadn't worked out for 3 days due to the heat, so it was a good one to get restarted again. Tomorrow I plan to go for a 5 mile walk in morning in some of my new clothes and new shoes. I don't go back to work until Wednesday thanks to furloughs and the holiday. Have a great day everyone.
