Guest guest
aggy yes he is of still doing them hims new number is of this . I to go fore therapy every monday from 12-2 and then on thursdays 10-11. i to have of 2 hours individual and one hour group. I to work on intertacting in real life time with real people LOL and work on social related skills and building in friendships. and then I to also work on the anxiety , abuse and depression issues as the come/ Also a side note is that I to created a group in the areas that once a month we meet at Bob for late lunch early dinner sorts of things at 2:00 to whenever. she is of welcome to join of that and her husband is of welcome too. then once a month we go bowling at the sawmill lanes at 2:30 the days always fall on Monday because that is of the day that we all meet at Dr. Amigos for group. Right now it is of mostly males to the spectrum, as females often dont stay in the group or insurance wont cover it or they are of raising kids who are of often of hte spectrum as well. Often times the females that have come are of aspergers and or mild they have of jobs, live independent and such not found one like of me yet except for my cousin who was of coming and more involved in her autism because she was of raised as a person with moderate MR. but her play and such was fun I to liked that of her and so we often played of games and such. But her mom had in her in for a year or two and then had to take her out due to finances. A few other womans as I to shared comed but did not stay so just clarifying that there are of not more males over all but more that will stay in a group or access a group than females are not willing to invest in for some reason. Guest guest
> > I am what you might call a shadow of autism, I am not autistic, however my daughter Jen is autistic. What is going on in my family could happen in any family, I have to talk with a to lady counselor at my doctor's off and so has my daughter Kim, my husband and I went to a marriage counselor this past summer. He has been to talk to some counselor also, the situation has intensified due his behavior and his illness. He illness could have a lot to due with his behavior and feel that I must lookout for what is the best for my daughters and myself at this point. I have reached out, due the isolation and my fears of what he is going to next, which my lawyer has told to trust him and I do. It is just difficult, I stay strong, but it is hard to watch as his behavior affects both of my daughters in his attempts to break me down. > Bev >Don't worry as a man with an autistic daughter I can tell you that it's a very hard thing to deal with.Your husband will have to learn to be supportive and filter out the daily problems this can cause in a marraige. Guest guest
TY, Sondra. I have emailed Dr. Amigo to ask if he would be interested in providing relationship therapy for Katy and her fiance. I have told her about your group and she is interested. Right now, we are not able to give her time away from the baby but she will get stir crazy before too long. As soon as the baby is a little bigger, I am sure she will very much feel like socializing. I have asked her if she would like to correspond with this group and have promised to set up her email to receive posts. Her yahoo address is SpeciallyN2me. It will probably be a week or two before she is ready to hop in but I know everyone here will welcome her. ~~~Aggy You can spend your life however you wish but you only get to spend it once.
