Guest guest
hi! I have milk goats for the first time this year and have been using their milk raw to make tapioca pudding, yogurt, and ice cream. This bounty of "free"milk is so much fun and I look forward to making some soft cheeses next. My two does are both Alpines, but the babies are half LaMancha. I have a small mini-farm in Wake County, NC. My email address is CPeache7@... So far I have not had any problems with the milk, immediately after milking I strain the milk through a Bounty paper towel into glass Mason jars and it is used up quickly. The baby doeling is getting her share, I am bottle feeding her with her mother's milk. She stayed with her mother for 2 weeks after birth to get all the colostrum and get her first time freshening mother off to a good start with being a milk mama. I am interested in learning more to make my hobby even better! In NC it is illegal to sell or dispense raw milk for human consumption. thanks for reading : )
