Tylenol in moderation is usually safer for us to use than ibuprofen non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs NSAID's which has more anti-inflammatory proprieties aleve - motrin and for arthritis symptoms. Most HCV specialists recommend tylenol and while on tx. Anything you ingest affects the liver to some extent with some drugs being more liver or kidney friendly than others. In general drugs are either know as being metabolized broken down by either the liver or kidneys doing most of the work staying at high dose longer or excreted harder on the kidneys. I was told that the labs alone wouldn't necessarily speak the truth of the situation. That mixed with a liver biopsy they would truly tell what was up. IF YOU ARE SAYING I can know what this diagnosis means to me, just from the labs, then I will waste my time calling and finding out the results. BUT IF the labs alone mean nothing, then I truly have bigger fish to fry with my time, I feel, since I do not feel sick today, swelling in hands has gone down, and son is still in drug induced coma. Please, I am not trying to be rude, I just want to know. I truly left this side of my life alone thinking it really didn't matter if I got the results today. Blood test results alone are not going to tell you exactly how your liver is. They will tell you how your liver is working right at this moment. If things look bad, I'm sure your doctor's office will call & either telll you to come in or set up another appointment soonest. You've got other, more important things on your mind. Tend to your son, that's the important thing right now. SuZieTonni Brende wrote: I was told that the labs alone wouldn't necessarily speak the truth of the situation.
