Guest guest
Hi I like your enthusiasm and after almost 5 years of brewing I still share it... Wash you hands with water , thoroughly. For the bottles, use White distilled vinegar. As long as you don't bring the bottle to your mouth when you're drinking your KT yousimply rinse the bottle with hot water and some vinegar ... No soap needed .... I have handled the SCOBY with my hands but some people use a kitchen tong. If your hands are clean ...Well use the tong ... I rarely clean my brewing vessel. if after a while they don't look good then I empty them. Clean them with soap , then rinse, rinse with very hot water and finally vinegar and back they go to brewing for many months before I think about cleaning them again ... Frantz Subject: How to wash To: original_kombucha Date: Tuesday, April 19, 2011, 1:05 PM I'm about to bottle my kombucha and want to know - what do you use to wash your hands, bottles and jar with? How much waste do you have left over from the bottom when all the dead yeast is?
