Guest guest
that's interesting, but I have also heard/read conflicting things. For a while (10 years ago???) the big formula was 40/30/30 - 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fat - that was from The Zone. I tend to think that we're all different and what works for us will be different. I get most of my calories from carbs, I'm sure. I love carbs and couldn't go too low w/out feeling off (hungry/faint/tired). I tried the Zone formula of 40/30/30 awhile back when it was popular and I was hungry all the time and GAINED weight on that plan. I think I am probably closer to the high carb/low fat diet plan - the classical "anti-heart disease" diet from way back when carbs were good. Maybe that is why it is so hard for me to gain muscle???? Not enough protein?? For example, I'd rather have peanut butter on whole grain for breakfast than scrambled eggs. I'd rather have pasta and beans than a steak....
