Guest guest
I have been a member for a couple of weeks now but haven’t taken the time to introduce myself. I live in Tampa, Fl and have been drinking raw milk for about 5 years now. I have always loved milk but now more than ever since I know what it is supposed to taste like!! I would LOVE to someday have my own homestead with some goats and a couple of Jersey cows but can’t afford anything near the Tampa area. We live in town but I do have 14 chickens in the back yard. We have no grass but it is worth it having them. I am married to Will and have 4 little girls ages ranging from 7yrs to 3 months. Now, on to the milk diet. I found the book titled “The Miracle of Milk: How to use the milk diet scientifically at home” by Bernarr Macfadden. I found it on milk-diet.com and in the process of reading chapter 3 and then clicking on chapter 4, the website stopped working!! I mentioned it to my hubby and he somehow got on the backside of the website and downloaded the whole book for me. The big difference I saw between his book and the book most people read is that Bernarr believes that exercise is allowed and even helpful unless you are so ill you have to be on bed rest. I have been on the milk diet for about a month. I have had food periodically when we have been somewhere and it would be rude not to eat something. In that situation, I have tried to eat meat and or veggies/salad but have stayed away from grains and starches. I do notice that the days I only drink milk I feel so much better!! I thought it would be hard to cook for my family and not eat, but it actually hasn’t been. I was surprised when I first started that I was never hungry and had no cravings!! I also have more energy and had to increase the speed on my treadmill to feel challenged. hyesun : In the book it says basically that if you are constipated, you need to consume more and if you have diarrhea, you may be consuming too much. You also may have been detoxing. How long were you on the diet? Edwin, I grew up in Carlisle and my family is still there. I may have to stop in for a visit on the next trip up!!
