Guest guest Posted August 30, 2010 Report Share Posted August 30, 2010 Hi Everyone, Started my PowerFIT/Cardio rotation today - first day was PowerFIT Legs & Shoulders and PowerFIT Core Fusion. I also added on two 10 min segments from QuickFix Total Body. PowerFIT Legs & Shoulders went well. The more I do these the more I appreciate them, really manages to pack a lot into 20 minutes and she does keep you moving for the entire 20 minutes. I used my weighted gloves and the heavy green band to make things more challenging. The second half of this one would be a good one to use weights w/ since some of the combined moves are difficult to do w/ a band since the range of motion is limited (frontal raises w/ lunges, for instance). My strength add on was an oldie - QuickFIX total body w/ Minna Lessig. I did the lower body section - standard stuff, body-weight squats and lunges. You can use weights or even bands here to up the intensity. I also did the upper body/arm seciton - again, basic stuff, bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, lateral raises for the shoulders. Although they use only one set of weights, I used 3 sets b/c my shoulders, biceps and triceps have different strengths! Finally, I did PowerFIT Core Fusion - which is a favorite - nice ab/core work followed by some good stretching. Tomorrow is cardio day - I'm thinking a combo of bike and treadmill.
