I've been under a lot of stress at work and just generally too busy and pulled in too many directions. when i feel like that, I need to take my workouts down a notch as hard workouts just add to the stress in my body! Anyway, I ended up doing Tanja Djelevic's workout - it used to be called Total Body Cardio, now it is called Cardio Burn Sculpt! Anyway, this was a perfect one for me today, not too easy, but not too hard. The first segment is lower body toning done at a cardio pace, then we moved on to some standing balance and upper body work (can intsensify the upper body stuff by using weight - Tanja does not, but she recommends that you do if you are more advance), then on to the floor for some core and ab work. The ab work is Pilates inspired. It ends with a yoga style stretch. I really like this workout - it won't kill you, but it isn't so easy that you feel like you wasted your time. Tanja is a good instructor and it is filmed outdoors in the mountains - figured it would help me to feel cooler to see the snow on the mountains! It is HOT here - we've had a month plus long heat wave. still, not complaining though b/c I'd rather be hot than cold and you don't have to shovel heat!Anyway - hope everyone has a good day!Donna Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest guest Posted July 22, 2010 Report Share Posted July 22, 2010 hi donna, sorry about work. i do like her two workouts i have(this one and the one with the ball). very different but i didn't care for the upper body work b/c of no weights and even if i tried to use weights i thought my form was off. but the cardio segments and mat work are really awesome.
