Guest guest
I would be interested in this too since I have curly hair myself!! Tonya Curly hair " lotion " I am new at this so I am not sure where to begin, but I would like to develop a product to use on my daughter's naturally curly hair that will moisturize, without greasiness, and hold her curls in soft ringlets, without the drying effects of most curl enhancers on the market today. Her hair is a mixture of African-American and East Indian textures. I was thinking of a " lotion " with an olive oil base, for moisture, but I do not know what to use to enhance the curl. It appears that most " curl enhancers " use silicone (don't know if this is the " curl enhancing " property or not), but this or some other ingredient tends to dry out the hair. I would prefer not to use alcohol or synthetic ingredients in the formula, but I am not sure if they are " a must " for preservatives and emulsifiers. I just want to make the product as natural as possible (I think). :-) The overall goal is healthy, shiny, moisture enriched hair with beautiful curls. Not the dry, frizzy hair she tends to get with all other products. Any help would be greatly appreciated! My email address is: dhlindo@... Guest guest
This may sound weird, but my friends used to come over and snag a leaf off my aloe plant. They used it as mousse on their hair!!!! It gave the hold without the stiffness they usually got. And, it is completely natural, too! You can get aloe gel and add it, that might help. Otherwise, not sure what to tell you to use. I WISH I had curls, lol. When I want curls, I gotta go pay too much money for them, lol. Good luck! Let us know if you find something that works. It gave the hold without the stiffness > they usually > There was a famous soaper with very curly hair, on one site, that swore by a drop of Jojoba oil distributed on her hands and rubbed through her hair. Having straight hair, I wouldn't know but she mentioned more than once to inquiring minds. Wyn
Guest guest
**Hey There, A friend of mine has curly hair (and so does her littley) and she swears by Sorbolene cream. I don't know how this is made but perhaps you could start there? Tsoumbakos www.earthsgoddess.com
