Guest guest
Hi, Please need your help again. Have held off starting liverlife, cytoflora, and biocidin that we purchased until my daughter who has rett syndrome has an endoscopy this friday to check status of reflux. We had started the biocidin and cytoflora within the same week, 2 weeks ago but she had very hard time so stopped (bowel motility really slowed down and subsequent pain, bloating, gas and more reflux). I have heard on here and from the bioray company that it might be best to start with liverlife then add in cytoflora and then biocidin. All slowly At any of these points should we also be adding in a probiotic? I have heard mentioned on here that custom probiotics are a good line of probiotics and I have read many of their testomials as well on their site. Which one of their products would be best to try. The two that I see mostly mentioned are the Adult Formula CP-1 and then the CP D-Lactate free formulation that is specific for autism. What is it about that one that it is geared more towards autism? What is lactate free? Also I think powder formula vs. capsule would be better cause could better titrate the dosage. Just so scared to try anything because so many supplements in the past have caused my daughter so much pain and distress. We did start working with an integrative medicine doctor a couple months ago but I know we are not his usual type of client but he is very intelligent, compassionate, great listener and really wants to help. But I think newer to him to have a client like my daughter who has such difficulty with supplements. We are seeing him because stool tests showed very low growth of e.coli, Lactobacillus bacteria and bifidobacterium bacteria and very high growth of 2 pathogens. I am hoping between him and the help on here we can figure out something to help my daughter. Thank you
Guest guest
Hi , We had a hard time with probiotics at first but we hadn't dealt with constipation/loading. I have a simple understanding that things that push out bad bacteria (and there can be lots) need a clear exit or they can make loading worse. We started biomed with enzymes, epsom salt baths and diet (removing soya). We had a hard time introducing things too (especially all the time we had loading and didn't understand this). Now our boy is recovered and doesn't need so much in the way of supplements - but does have lots of good bacteria in fermented foods and is still mostly SCD. We used custom cp1 (the one that says " adult " ) - we use it to make SCD yoghurt these days. Hope everything goes well. Best wishes, Sandy > > Hi, > Please need your help again. Guest guest
Hi , Fermented foods went well for us though we introduced them slowly and one at a time (as we discovered them and learnt how to make them). We did SCD goat milk first then goat milk kefir and sauerkraut. Later we did kombucha and other fermented veg and water kefir. For us they seem very well tolerated and more digestible. Best wishes, Sandy
