Guest guest
, I just had to restart growing my own SCOBY for the second time, because my curious cats knocked it off the top of my refrigerator and destroyed it. If you still haven't found one in about 3 weeks, I should have a baby I can give you, but it's just in its early stages of development right now, starting its first decent layer across the jar. If you read up on some of the sites around the net you can learn how to grow your own by using a bottle of a name brand unpasteurized plain/original formula that has a good amount of culture in the top/bottom of the bottle. Brew 2-3 cups of tea, add a few TBSP of sugar, let it cool, then combine them in a jar as you would brew the tea. Takes about 3 weeks to get one, and the tea you'll have left is pretty much your starter tea, but if you can't find one (as I couldn't) it's an easy way to simply grow one. > > Hello all.anyone near by that has a scoby or 2?
