Guest guest
If not a dissection, then perhaps just a few snips? A quick summary of what you disagree with? (then maybe we won't need to stay sober when we next meet up, lol)I find Cutler's theory quite plausible (unlike you, though, I don't have a scientific brain!), and in fact I've done 14 rounds of AC chelation with my son. But what I find a bit worrying is the tendency towards an unquestioning acceptance of his views on autism which I've seen amongst some people. He seems almost to be turning into a cult figure. On some forums (not this one, I hasten to add) I've even noticed that a number of people have adopted his, erm, rather direct manner of speaking. With all the uncertainty and confusion surrounding our children's condition, a person who speaks with authority can command a lot of attention and respect. It can be very reassuring to hear someone who is clearly very intelligent and well-educated expounding his views with so much conviction. I know from my own experience how alluring this can be - I wasted a couple of years following the advice of a practitioner who was very assertive and self-confident, but in the end didn't help my son all that much. I'm not saying that practitioners shouldn't be confident of their opinions, but their theories need to be subjected to scrutiny and healthy debate. That's why I'd be really interested to know what you think, Natasa, and why you don't appear to subscribe to the AC chelation / mercury causes autism theory.Joanne> > > >> > > > >> > > >> > > > >> > > >> > > > > I agree with Mandi, we are doing Cutler protocol chelation and> > only> > > >> > > > seeing good things. Guest guest
I disagree. Get him to show you a child with a healed gut that has heavy metals in them. How can you heal the bodys detox system when the child has mercury in its body? Sorry, but that is exactly the reason i turned to Cutler. How can you heal the bodys detox system when the child has mercury in its body? Sorry, but that is exactly the reason i turned to Cutler. We would have waited forever Kirsty x > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I agree with Mandi, we are doing Cutler protocol chelation and > > > > only > > > > > > > > > > > > seeing good things. Guest guest
Am really pleased to see more posts on chelation, Kirsty is my chelation buddy, its great to have someone to chat things through with.... My little guy is a gut kid but made good progress before chelation, so i guess i'm getting where vikki's coming from....Since AC chelation, has made amazing progress, for the first time ever I actually believe he may make it to recovery. His health has improved massively, he has grown, gained weight. So much much more, we are almost a 'normal' family these days. Best of all...Ed Pysch visited school last week and had to be shown ! he couldn't pick him out from the other kids!! btw, I would have classed my son as severe, regression was very bad. We started with DAN at age 2yrs, chelation at 3.5yr.....and done 20 rounds, it's not been plain sailing but my only regret is not starting sooner, oh and must start chelating myself asap. x > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I agree with Mandi, we are doing Cutler protocol chelation and > > > > > > only > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > seeing good things. Guest guest
Hello friends, Please write and share your experiences. This gorup is a life line for me. My son is definetely a gut kid, despite going to Breakspear Hospital in the last 6 years, i am still talking about gut problems..he has been on DAN protocol for ages, there are things which we havent' tried yet..such as methylation issue, I am sure he has a problem on this but his individualised programme has always been on the gut first, that was right. But his helath hasn't improved much in terms of weight gain, constipation....This is very frustrating..I know he is a hard case for them because ofthe complication. However he wasn't like that before, I can proof this with pictures, turning points that I remembered ,he progressed but he also regressed in terms of language, muscle building,bones... I always believe that he is definetely very toxic, because of my amalgams, vaccines...But all the blood tests, porphyin...showed only very little or not at all! This was confusing , perhaps toxic elements were hiding in his body as it was said! Our main problem was always, parasities, yeast, constipation... So, in proper or wrongly advised use of some supplements triggerred some thing and he started having seizures perhaps..The gap between the attacks is widining, that's make me optimistic. I would defintely try ,safe chelation with him,if he has toxic element in his body and can't detox it,it should be removed,in a long term it won't make him good..The problem is concentration on my side, because chelation needs careful handling the situation.I hardly manage the whole supplements time schedules at the moment. All the best nevin > > > > > > > But does he still suggest challenge tests every 4 months?? Guest guest
I think you right Nevin, chelation should be taken seriously...i was so nervous with the first few rounds, that i literally didn't sleep the whole night in case i missed the night doses.....Now, i'm in the swing of things, i'm much calmer and have just slotted it into our normal life, we do 3 rounds a month, with one weekend break, well i say break, on that weekend I do TD DMPS, i just feel so guilty when we miss a round!! Ok, i'm like the most un organised person ever, i need a list for everything, no memory what so ever! If i can chelate my son, then anything is possible........... I took the time before starting to collect necessary supps, write out my chelation / supplement schedule, measure out the chelators - I have a pin board in my kitchen with an idiots guide to everything...oh and i also set my phone alarm to remind me to dose!!! Every child is very different, but for us gut health and in turn gains in height and weight have only come with chelation. good luck!! x > > > > > > > > > > > But does he still suggest challenge tests every 4 months?? Guest guest
As I said the statement is so wrong on so many levels it is hard to start tackling it. For starters "the other 25% probably have immune system damage which leads to other health problems" - abs ridiculous!! Immune system damage is the hallmark, the BASIS of autism for Christ sake, he is plucking percentages shamelessly out of thin air. Save those few monogenetic disorders (that btw also have some form of immune dysfunction present) autism does not exist without aberrant immunity/inflammation! Also "damage" is wrong, much better word Dysfunction up, as it is ongoing, life-long etc (unless treated)… The immune system is very much functioning, but in ways that hurt the body and brain. And no, the type of immune dysfunction and cytokine profiling present in autism does not resemble in any way that induced by mercury poisoning – actually going by what is known re how mercury effects the immune system is often OPPOSITE to what is seen in autism. The science on mercury and heavy metal poisoning, including case studies etc what is happening is that Yes those thigs are neurotoxic no doubt about that, brain damage, widespread organ damage -- tissue damage -- cellular damage you name it. BUT NONE OF THOSE THINGS has much relevance to what is going on in autism. That is - on organ damage level (ie what is found in autism postmortem studies) does not resemble in any way or form to postmortem findings on humansor animals who have been exposed to high levels of toxic metals. The same thing on tissue and cellular/physiological level. There is loads of science on mercury metals pathological damage, and there is lots of science on pathological findings in autism, and when you put two and two together those two do not come very close. This includes both acute/high level exposure, as well as sublinical low-level long-term exposure. Btw that is not to say that many/most of our kids won't have increased levels of toxins – this is due to low GSH, but that is confusing cause and effect/consequence. Also yes possible that some would have secondary brain DAMAGE induced by toxins, in addition to `autism'. To go back to statement briefly again there are so many ways in which vaccines can hurt, there is no reason to automatically assume the regression is to do with mercury in them – again if that was the case the pathological picture in autism would fit the pathological picture of mercury poisoning, again no the two do not have much in common if anything at all. Re chelation – yes chelators are potentially wonderful and have many strong effects that have nothing to do with removing of metals , and have much to do with many things that our kids desparately need. Strong agents have the the ability to kick homeostasis out of balance further hence regressions depending on dose frequency etc. Will send you some stuff later on autism pathology and what fits imo, remind me… You are right the word Cult very descriptive.
