Guest guest
Parents/Professionals. If you have an inspiring quote or thought about having or caring for or serving an individual with an autism spectrum disorder -- I would love to have your 1-3 sentence contribution for the calendar. I am seeking 12 - one for each month of the calendar. Nothing professional - just an awareness statement for the public to get a word " portrait " of autism. Last calendar featured 12 autism statistics or facts. For the 2008 Calendar - I want word " portraits " to educate about autism. To educate the public about the " HUMAN-ness " of autism. Not the " definition " or " look " or " statistics of " autism. About the " value " of the individual - what they contribute, bring, offer. What they mean to you as a parent. Please help with this - I have received some very poignant responses - but I need more! Nothing professional - just from your heart -- so don't be worried that you aren't a writer! Very brief - very real. Thanks! Send directly to: MGuppy@... Deadline is FRIDAY!!!!!!! By submitting your comments to MGuppy@... - you are giving me permission to use (editing for length/grammar) your submission in the 2008 Autism Awareness Calendar for Texas. Please sign your submission with how you want to be named (first name only, or first name, last name, and city, etc.....) Sincerely, Guppy M. No one should live in one. We cannot debate who should get an inclusive education. Everyone should. We cannot determine who does and who does not get the right to make their own choices and forge their own futures. All must. "
