Guest guest Posted October 28, 2006 Report Share Posted October 28, 2006 Today there was something on Dr Phil about Katrina survivors being taken advantage of, where people they hired to remediate their homes, took off with the money and didn't do the work. I couldn't watch the whole thing but it was of course about water damaged buildings. I was in my own water damaged building, and I go quickly in and out so couldn't stand and watch show, but I didn't know he did that sort of thing. I thought it was more into solving relationship problems. Of course, that is sort of a relationship, a business one, but still surprised. I don't know what angle could be used to interest them. Of course landlord/tenant is another relationship then, and landlords that won't fix the problem or employer/employee is a relationship too where person is fired instead of listened and believed them about problem. Perhaps that is an angle that could be used. You have to try to look at it from their stand point. They are looking for an story that will have wide appeal. HOWEVER of course people who took off with money without doing work were out and out crooks. Just the one that say we have many ideas and if our producers like your story someone will contact you. We had our story aired on local T.V. stations in Boise Idaho but that was over 3 years ago. If anyone does get an invite I would love to share our story and the lawsuit we went threw with our builder and how the insurance companies run the show and the trials.
