Guest guest
But does he still suggest challenge tests every 4 months?? Given what he said at P2P and later what exactly is his chelation protocol, does anybody know? Mx We are seeing Dr. Culp and his opinion is that there is no point doing chelation if you don't heal the gut first and enhance the body's detoxification system. If not, you will have to continue chelation forever.
Guest guest
Hi Kirsty, not sure about chelation always before gut healing, think it might be more the case of individual differences. We waited a very long time before chelating simply because 's gut was totally wrecked, he didn't grow for years, plummetted down the height and weight percentiles, hair loss, no teeth till 8 yrs old. He had been on ever increasing doses of very strong antibiotics at 18 months for nigh on two years and was in a dreadful state, he had constant diahrea and just screamed and banged all day and all night. It was my feeling at the time that he would not be able to tolerate any more yeast flare ups, he still has problems with some supplements but back then he could barely tolerate any, besides everything that went in one end came out the other instantly. He could hardly eat for the pain. It took us many years to get his gut to the much better state it is in now and we have been doing AC since May, he is doing so well, lots of gains even at 13yrs old! Only now are we seeing the yeast flare but are aware and on top of it [hopefully]. It would have been nice to start chelating when he was so much younger but I believe he was in a truly bad place and would never have coped, like everything there just isn't a one size fits all. It's also not true to say gut healing cannot take place without chelation, I have the video's that show a malnourished scrap of a child and recent ones that show a really strong, healthy young teenager with perfect muscle tone. I do not believe though that he would make any more gains without chelation and his gut would probably remain vulnerable. He is imo mercury damaged but he was also damaged by antibiotics and that had to be addressed also. Guest guest
He did and regularly too.................sigh. Be nice to know how long he thinks it takes to heal a gut. I never thought we would ever get through the yeast issues, I waited 3 years to chelate, 2 of them knowing almost as much about chelation as I do now (given AC is a constant in this very changing arena) but between round 50 and 60 was the watershed for us. To be fair before we started we had taken him from constant korma coloured putrid acidic liquid stools that burnt on contact 7-9 times per day to normal poops, not by any means a practitioner would have suggested (off GFCFSF diet with Houston Enzymes) but we still had major issues with yeast, bacteria and parasites. Which I guess is like Vicky getting over the crisis with 's gut but he started in a worse place and took longer to get happy ground. I'm not sure we are done with parasites yet (is anybody ever?) though no behaviours at all last 2 full moons, fingers crossed KIB 500 has done its job Mandi x Doesn't Culp recommend the challenge test that can cause more harm than good to our children? x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: dsmutum@...Date: Sat, 20 Nov 2010 13:32:32 +0000Subject: Re: Re: Cutler or DAN! Hi Joanne and others, We are seeing Dr. Culp and his opinion is that there is no point doing chelation if you don't heal the gut first and enhance the body's detoxification system. If not, you will have to continue chelation forever. As our son is doing quite well, we have decided to wait and see. This does not mean we are not doing anything about the mercury toxicity. We are using Tyler Recancostat Powder from Integrative Therapeutics which contains combination of reduced glutathione (GSH), anthocyanins, and l-cysteine. This is meant to detoxify the body. We give him half a tea spoon of the powder twice a day with his milk. We are also following a strict SCD diet. His bowel movements have improved tremendously after that and he actually passes motion at least twice daily. We make our own yoghurt and give him organic almond milk which we also make ourselves. Initially I thought it would be too much but as we began to see the improvements, we rather enjoy it. We have adopted the diet ourselves even though my wife and I do go out and treat ourselves to what is considered "normal food" for other people in a restaurant sometimes while the kids are at school. Cheers, Adam Dilip If not a dissection, then perhaps just a few snips? A quick summary of what you disagree with? (then maybe we won't need to stay sober when we next meet up, lol) I find Cutler's theory quite plausible (unlike you, though, I don't have a scientific brain!), and in fact I've done 14 rounds of AC chelation with my son. But what I find a bit worrying is the tendency towards an unquestioning acceptance of his views on autism which I've seen amongst some people. He seems almost to be turning into a cult figure. On some forums (not this one, I hasten to add) I've even noticed that a number of people have adopted his, erm, rather direct manner of speaking. With all the uncertainty and confusion surrounding our children's condition, a person who speaks with authority can command a lot of attention and respect. It can be very reassuring to hear someone who is clearly very intelligent and well-educated expounding his views with so much conviction. I know from my own experience how alluring this can be - I wasted a couple of years following the advice of a practitioner who was very assertive and self-confident, but in the end didn't help my son all that much. I'm not saying that practitioners shouldn't be confident of their opinions, but their theories need to be subjected to scrutiny and healthy debate. That's why I'd be really interested to know what you think, Natasa, and why you don't appear to subscribe to the AC chelation / mercury causes autism theory. Guest guest
I disagree. Get him to show you a child with a healed gut that has heavy metals in them. How can you heal the bodys detox system when the child has mercury in its body? Sorry, but that is exactly the reason i turned to Cutler. We would have waited forever Kirsty x > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I agree with Mandi, we are doing Cutler protocol chelation and > > > > only > > > > > > > > > > > > seeing good things. Guest guest
Hi Kirsty & Vicky I think you are both right, you have to see where abouts your child is, i spent 2 years getting my son's gut healed but still had candida/parasites and bad bacteria so started chelating him with AC protocol back in April, he has been making some really great progress since starting and his gut has healed more with chelation, the candida has now gone, alondside his excema which i think was just the skin reaction to candida, so i would say that your gut healing is very limited until you start chelation but that is only my opinion. I have always believed (in my son's case) that if you were to put it in a pie chart then a third of the pie chart would be gut dysbosis, another third would be heavy metals (inc Mercury toxicity) and the last third being viral issues, when one the third that you have has got rid of it just fills up with the other two, IMHO i think you have to address all issues wise you are going to be on a vicious cycle of getting rid of candida, chelating, then getting candida back etc etc... x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: MaddiganV@...Date: Sat, 20 Nov 2010 09:31:43 -0500Subject: Re: Re: Cutler or DAN! He is imo mercury damaged but he was also damaged by antibiotics and that had to be addressed also.Vicky Re: Cutler or DAN!> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > >> > > > > >> > > > > > > Cutler protocol is safest and most efficient IMHO and IMEO.> > > There> > > > is> > > > > >> > > > > > > nothing quick about chelation. Guest guest
Gosh Kirsty, no offence taken at all, just trying to point out that other things can wreck the gut besides mercury or as well as. 's gut is not fully healed, because he does have mercury damage but before I could address that we had a complete crisis on our hands. Either way this mess was caused by doctors we entrusted to help, first by damaging with vaccines and secondly by giving huge dosages of very strong antibiotics to an infant for over a year with no regard for the damage being done. It's only by reading everyone who contributes to discussions that parents like myself can take a decision and one opinion differing from another doesn't make either right or wrong, we just do the best we can based on the child we have and their history. Guest guest
Doesn't Culp recommend the challenge test that can cause more harm than good to our children? x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: dsmutum@...Date: Sat, 20 Nov 2010 13:32:32 +0000Subject: Re: Re: Cutler or DAN! Guest guest
Well done , especially with the EP School used to track changes for me when we first started out and it was so depressing not to have seen any gains for 20 rounds or so, masked by yeast but it made it all the more sweeter when we could see them. I had 3 members of staff do 2 monthly ATECS for me, maybe I should start that again? Mx My little guy is a gut kid but made good progress before chelation, so i guess i'm getting where vikki's coming from....Since AC chelation, has made amazing progress, for the first time ever I actually believe he may make it to recovery. His health has improved massively, he has grown, gained weight. So much much more, we are almost a 'normal' family these days. Best of all...Ed Pysch visited school last week and had to be shown ! he couldn't pick him out from the other kids!!

Guest guest
I'm still chicken and have only done TD DMPS on me which does make me feel great. Now I have conferences and AR meetings out of the way I must start next weekend....or maybe the weekend after lol Wish I had started that young, Sam was nearly 5.5 years wish even more I hadn't stopped for shitty divorce but needs must Mx btw, I would have classed my son as severe, regression was very bad. We started with DAN at age 2yrs, chelation at 3.5yr.....and done 20 rounds, it's not been plain sailing but my only regret is not starting sooner, oh and must start chelating myself asap. Guest guest
Hi Guys,I don't think Dr. Culp has a chelation protocol. So far, the SCD diet and the supplements that he has given has really worked for our son. I totally agree with  that all our kids are unique and have different problems.I did ask him how long it would take and he simply said that everyone was different. However, he did say that our son was not as bad as some other kids that he had seen before based on the results of the live blood analysis, ONE profile and urinary porphyrin test. And Kirsty please do not stop writing. It's a journey and we are all here to share and learn from each other's experiences. We definitely have a lot to learn and we may have to go for chelation in the future.  Cheers, Adam Dilip  But does he still suggest challenge tests every 4 months?? Given what he said at P2P and later what exactly is his chelation protocol, does anybody know?  Mx  We are seeing Dr. Culp and his opinion is that there is no point doing chelation if you don't heal the gut first and enhance the body's detoxification system. If not, you will have to continue chelation forever.

Guest guest
I do exactly the same as you, i was nervous to start chelation, fear of the unknown, so empowered myself by reading up on other peoples experiences and emailing people and asking the in's and out's of a duck's behind, knowledge is power and when i have the knowledge i feel confident, my only regret with chelation is i waited too long before i started because i was scared. I also have a list of supplements times and doses on my kitchen cork board and like you use my mobile phone for night time chelations, which i take upstairs with me in a cooler bag and each dose is in a syringe for easy dosing, as soon as i touch Harry's lips with the syringe he starts sucking and doesn't even open his eyes. I even manage to go out weekends now with the cooler bag and ready-made syringes, last night the Christmas lights and fireworks were going on in my Town, so we all went down and i had to take one syringe with me to chelate him whilst watching the fireworks. x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: andrea.edmondson@...Date: Sun, 21 Nov 2010 10:46:26 +0000Subject: Re: Cutler or DAN! I think you right Nevin, chelation should be taken seriously...i was so nervous with the first few rounds, that i literally didn't sleep the whole night in case i missed the night doses.....Now, i'm in the swing of things, i'm much calmer and have just slotted it into our normal life, we do 3 rounds a month, with one weekend break, well i say break, on that weekend I do TD DMPS, i just feel so guilty when we miss a round!!Ok, i'm like the most un organised person ever, i need a list for everything, no memory what so ever! If i can chelate my son, then anything is possible...........I took the time before starting to collect necessary supps, write out my chelation / supplement schedule, measure out the chelators - I have a pin board in my kitchen with an idiots guide to everything...oh and i also set my phone alarm to remind me to dose!!! Every child is very different, but for us gut health and in turn gains in height and weight have only come with chelation.good luck!!x> > > > >> > >> > > But does he still suggest challenge tests every 4 months??
