Guest guest Posted October 30, 2006 Report Share Posted October 30, 2006 There are a number of potent mycotoxins in many Alternaria species - tenuazonic acid, fulmosin B1, " AAL toxins " and probably others.. Any statement that Alternaria only causes an allergic reaction is wrong.. Also, inhaled toxins in general are more toxic by weight than ingested.. There is also the important, relevant fact that we inhale all day (and night) long... Many toxins are synergistic.. the effect is greater than the sum of the individual parts..
