Employees at the Discovery House reported at the beginning of the month they had symptoms of headaches, sore throats and stuffy noses. The company hired Northeast Test Consultants to do a full assessment of the building. In their report released last week, they say they found mold and bacteria in several places. Discovery House treats 500 patients and the clinic's director says none of them should worry about being affected. " At this point in time, the tests haven't determined that anyone coming into the building for a short period of time would be affected. If as they do their further work, if they determine that, we would do something else, " said Discovery House Director Dan Mahoney. The two employees who doctors said should not go back in the building will work in a trailer while contractors remove the mold and bacteria in the building. That work will start next week.
