Guest guest
Hi Tonni, It sounds like you might have edema, retaining water. You need to get in to see a doctor & get your condition more thoroughly investigated. Also, if it's edema, you need a diuretic which is prescription so you gotta see a doc. Try to find a Gastroenterologist or a Hepatologist, they're the ones who treat Hep C & know most about it. If you have to, get a family practitioner & have him/her refer you to the specialist, it takes time but that's the only way to know exactly where you stand versus the HCV. Try drinking more water, it can help wash the other water through. Ordinarily I wouldn't reccomend it but coffee & tea are natural diuretics & can help with getting rid of the swelling. I spent 3 days seeking a doc that would order the blood tests, because I have only seen 2 docs in 8 years; both for sinus infections. I never get sick. I have no doc I finally got a nurse practitioner to order blood, but haven't got results yet. I have not seen anyone for the swelling because until yesterday, it was never a real big problem. I always swell just a bit; never had to cut rings off before. Never had to sleep keeping arms and legs straight. Just sitting on computer; arms bent that much, I feel the swelling going up my arm. Legs are the same if I bend them. Swelling is noticable on hands, but I do not notice it anywhere else. I will ask that nurse when she calls me back in, but what is one to do until then. I have small kids to play with, house to clean, meals to prepare. I am going to try peppermint oil all over them. I have always been one for the oils before the naproxen anyway. And since I can no longer have the naproxen anyway, I think smelling up my house and prayin to not touch my eyes with the oil on, is my best option. Tonni . Guest guest
I am definately gonna try and get in this next week. I ain't out in the heat enough for anything. I figure it is just the stress of the last week, for I can't go from healthy feelin fine to diagnosed then sick. It don't work like that. Usually you sick then years later diagnosed. Anyway, the peppermint oil works some, as it is a natural ice pack. But truly know something is up cause now my feet are doing the same. Gotta keep everything straight to keep the discomfort level down. When I bend, I truly feel the swelling. I will get in next week.
