Guest guest
Hi everyone~ Some of the older members know that when I was 18 I gave birth to a child out of wedlock ( as we used to say) and I placed him for adoption......years went by, but never was he far from my heart and mind. I thought that there would be only three questions I would like answered..was he alive and well and was he happy! After being dx with AOSD I was even more concerned for his health, and began looking for him. An organization in Winnipeg called " Links " helped me find him. He was alive and well and happy! We met and we became more than friends, and it was a wondrous part of my life. Last year he began to have some health issues, and the doctors did a great deal of testing, and have come up with a DX. It's called CADISIL...it's a genetic disorder that, in under 20 years will kill him, but before that he will have problems with short term memory, mini strokes, then larger strokes eventual dementia and incontinence. Not a very good prognosis. He's trying to deal with this, both he and his wife and what can I possibly say to him? I assume the genetic marker for CADISIL came from the father's side since it is inherited, and nothing like this has shown up on my side of the family. What I'm trying to say is would you all put him in your prayers, and me too, so that I can find the right words to say to him! thanks Cat --------------------------------- Be smarter than spam.
