Guest guest
THIS IS EXCELLENT INFORMATION!! Check it out!!! Everyday I seem to learn something new and become more frightened by the day. I honestly believe the world is falling apart and nothing seems to be safe. Environmentally we are killing ourselves. Do you think Al Gore would listen to us? We have to find someone, that people will listen to, that will speak up about this very real nightmare!! I don't have the national Geographic magazine. If someone has one look on the inside of the front cover and see how we can contact them. Then we can write the gentleman that wrote the recent story called The Pollution Within. Maybe he could do a follow up story! Sue _http://www.hadd.http_ (http://www.hadd.com/) WHY DOES HADD EXIST? No one buys a new-home looking for a lawsuit but far too often, that is exactly what homeowners face. It often seems that once keys are in hand, that friendly builder is nowhere to be found should problems arise. Many tell us that their builders simply refuse to respond, and when they do, they are bombarded with Band-Aid- on-bullet-wound repairs, such as paint and caulk that often hide more serious underlying defects. : ...read article
Guest guest
The system is BROKEn.. Why? Listen, because this is important to understand.. .... The builders see lawsuits as FAR less damaging and threatening than they need to be, its like a little fly flying around that they can ignore, or if need be, swat. They are laughing, its so insignificant. Ultimately, this is all about buying cheap land and cheap materials and cheap shoddy labor and selling the end product for as MUCH as possible. Thousands of times. What needs to happen to effect change is that the amount they spend satisfying the lawsuits has to be MUCH BIGGER than the amount they 'save' by doing the above.. THEN they will change. Right now its completely insignificant. That means awards have to go WAY up, they have to be many times what they are now, but it also means the system needs to be designed so that people who are injured are not only assisted to sue, but also assisted in doing it. They need to see it as their civic duty. And juries need to understand that since only a tiny portion of those injured sue, that the ones who do need to be rewarded such that it encourages other people in the same situation to also sue.. and lawyers to represent them. That is the LEAST objectionable option.. Otherwise, we have to RADICALLY change the system by which we deal with these obscenities...
