Guest guest
Hi everyone, Well, we are still on long term metronidazole, and justed wanted to give a quick update. Yesterday, Jasmine was having soup for lunch, and said she had had plenty, for the time being. I took her bowl from the table and left it on the kitchen counter. I went upstairs, and heard the sound of a spoon against the bowl. When I ran downstairs, Jasmine had taken the bowl off the counter, put it back on the table, and was feeding herself, saying she had changed her mind. Today, she wanted a banana for a snack, and I said I would chop some into a bowl once I had put some ironing away. Again, I heard the sound of cutlery against a bowl, and when I came down, there was Jasmine with a banana that she had peeled and placed the peel into the bin, put the banana into a bowl, that she had got out of the cabinet, and had a knife in her hand, trying to chop it up!! She is nearly 11, and has never tried to do anything independent in her life. What a shock! I know it's not much really, but a huge step forward for us here. Now, do I hide the knives, or maybe just the sharp ones! Hope you all have a good halloween. Best Wishes Glynis x
