Guest guest Posted July 25, 2010 Report Share Posted July 25, 2010 Hi Everyone, Busy weekend! On Saturday I did Element's AM/PM Yoga for Beginners and just did the AM part. It was nice - nothing unusual or extraordinary but a nice gentle practice. I'm going to try to do more yoga - I miss it! Today I tried the Weight Watcher's Punch Beginners workout. Thanks to a friend who got this one for me!! Huckabee leads this and it is a very nice workout - using weighted gloves and kickboxing inspired moves. There are two backgrounders one who shows more beginner mods. It isn't like Turbo Jam or Tae Bo, it is not "fierce" or "figthing"! The DVD has 3 workouts on it - beginner, 30 min, intermediate 35 min and advanced 45 min. I will have to do the other workouts to see how they differ from the beginner - as in - are they totally different or just longer versions of the beginner workout? Time will tell! Anyway, the beginner workout was not particularly difficult for me, but it is a nice workout for a lighter day for me which is what I was sort of looking for today (low on motivation to workout this morning!) cued well and the weighted gloves (which are they same ones that came with the kits and the 10 Min Solution workout) did add some additional intensity. After the Punch workout I did Core Balance from 's PowerFIT Harmony set. The Punch workout reminded me a bit of the Harmony workouts - which is a good thing, b/c I like those! I'm not sure what I'm going to do for the rest of the week. Feeling a bit burned out on the Montenegro Methods, but I may still throw a few in there this week. Or, I may do some FIRMs, almost thinking of a theme week. I am not feeling 100% motivated to workout - not sure what is going on - could be the heat, could also be some stress. If I wasn't going on vacation in 2 weeks for 2 weeks I think I would take a rest/recovery week. I still might b/c that seems to be what my body is asking for.
