Guest guest
Hi Carolyn!Day 11 here! No, neither of us has had any bowel issues whatsoever. We're doing 8- 10 ounces of this amazing kefir every hour.Drinking tea and water, as well.Every other morning we have been doing a salt water flush - drinking one quart of warm salt water - creating a top-down flush of the digestive system. As far as supplements, I am doing b-complex, vitamin D (I live in the northern half of this continent and sun is at a premium and because it's cold, we're covered with clothes when we do venture out), vitamin C and electrolytes/trace minerals (post workout) and also mixing kelp powder with 3 or 4 glasses of kefir a day. We just put in our order for the milk we'll pick up tomorrow and we've now updated our fast to 21 days in length. But it can always get longer. Nice thing about fasts? You never have to wonder about what to make for supper. No dishes to do (well I suppose I should count the myriad of jars I wash) - nothing baked on, at least We always seem to have more time when fasting. We always feel good when doing it and it helps us support better eating habits when we are done with a cleanse. Spring is springing,Garret thanks for sharing. have you had any diarrhea or constipation? ..
Guest guest
Carolyn and all, I thought I’d take the time to share a little more about my experiences with the milk diet/fast. I have been on the milk diet for 2 months now and continue to feel great. I did make tons of yogurt and consumed most of my daily raw dairy with that one week. I am pretty sure that I lost more weight that week. I am guessing it is because of less milk sugar? I plan on making another big batch today with my super huge yogurt maker my hubby rigged up for me. (it involves the 120 qt cooler, 2 light bulbs, a dimmer switch and a computer fan) I really don’t have much of a desire to eat food. On the subject of the bathroom, I would describe it as someone else did on their blog. When you have a BM, you hear angels singing and you don’t really have to wipe if you know what I mean. =o) As Jerome described, my skin is more youthful. It is very soft and the good fat in the milk seems to be flushing out the bad. My cellulite seems to be disappearing. I also noticed that when I do my run/walk intervals on the treadmill, my muscles recover very quickly. I normally would be very sore when getting out of bed. My muscles feel very strong. I also have observed that with nursing my other 3 babies, I was very prone to getting mastitis and couldn’t run on my treadmill without getting an infection. This time, I have been really pushing myself with intensive intervals and have not had any problems with it!! I am so amazed at how nourishing raw milk is. I feel that the raw milk diet would have been even better if they would have incorporated fermented dairy. Guest guest
thanks so much for sharing. did you transition into this or one day food, the next day all kefir? will you need to transition from this when you go back to eating other foods? I don't like to cook so this sounds ideal to me. > > > thanks for sharing. have you had any diarrhea or constipation? > > > > > > . > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I actually had been doing this diet without knowing it. While pregnant, I would drink raw milk all day (because it was an easy way to get something good in me when I didn’t feel like eating) and then eat dinner with the family. I did not have a problem transitioning. Like I said in another email, I do not have a problem eating food on occasion. Last week was my birthday so I treated myself to a gyro and strawberry short cake at the strawberry festival. Yuck, it was not worth it!! Anyway, then we went out to eat for my birthday and I had part of a calzone and 2 tiny bites of cheesecake. If anything, you can definitely tell that eating food that are processed and void of nutrients just isn’t good for you!! I think you just need to try it and see how it makes you feel. Commit to doing it for a week or even 4 days. I have a feeling you won’t want to stop!! Guest guest
Always a good idea to ramp from regular diet when going into a cleanse. I like to eat raw foods for a couple of days prior to a cleanse... no fried anything, no grains - if you're a hard core coffee drinker, you'll want to be weaning yourself off for a while before a cleanse. One can do broths, too. Important, too, is being good to yourself when coming off a cleanse. Come back to food slowly, clear broths for a couple of days, adding in some veggies maybe a little rice after that. > thanks so much for sharing. did you transition into this or one day food, > the next day all kefir? will you need to transition from this when you go > back to eating other foods? > > I don't like to cook so this sounds ideal to me. > > >> >> > thanks for sharing. have you had any diarrhea or constipation? >> > >> > >> > . >> > >> > >> > >> > >

Guest guest
In regard to salt water flush: 2 tsp of real salt, non-iodized, purest salt you can find. Mix in one quart warm water. Sometimes, people respond wonderfully to 2 level tsp, while others need to do a little more, as in heaping teaspoons. The flush works and for people who have an aversion to enemas, not to mention how enemas go against the natural flow, the salt water flush is a great thing. > How much salt do you add to your water when you do the salt water flush? > > Bonnie > > >> >> > thanks for sharing. have you had any diarrhea or constipation? >> > >> > >> > . >> > >> > >> > >> > >
