Guest guest
We have had two chilly days and chillier nights and today I am shivering because it was 48 outside. I decided to put my two jugs of KT and 2 jars of kefir in a box and put them in my truck because the sun is bright and heats up the truck. I have the windows open a bit for air and all the light is blocked and a black sheet over the box, so that is not an issue. The temp is what I want to ask about. I went out there to sit and read my Bible, and it is about 83. I started hearing fizzing sounds and it reminded me of the rising bubbles of my first KT jug when I tried my first attempt at putting heat to it and it was too hot. I identified that it is the jug with the three babies in it that is making tiny fizzing sounds. The other one with the big scoby is quiet, or maybe there is some slighter fizzing sounds going on there, too. I live near an interstate highway, so it was hard to detect if I was hearing anything from the second jug. The jug with the three babies is the one that is sticking up and dry. It, too, is just below the mouth of the jar--not pushing up the towel. I thought that level was no problem until I read about the sealing off of air thing that was talked about earlier today. Should I take some tea out of it, maybe?
