Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I don't post much because I don't usually have time but I can use some help. I bought a nubian on Friday and they brought her to me Friday evening. She is a small nubian and I was told she bred to young but had twins on her that she was weaning and she was drying up. Well this morning I knew I would have to milk her when I got home. I got home and milked her (about a quart) and thought I would drink the milk. Was I in for a surprise. The milk taste salty. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to clear this up. I have been milking several years now and have 2 nubians I milk every morning and don't have a salty taste to the milk. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's not in the handling. I'm wondering if she was given tons of salt at her former home maybe. Thanks, Verna in Texas
