Wow, what a windfall. Sure you can use them in soap. _www.naturesgift.com_

(http://www.naturesgift.com) has excellent information on how to use

essential oils. I myself would scratch the wintergreen, from what I've read

it's

toxic and would not want to mess with it.

I have no idea what the weight amounts are, but you are very lucky. The

above site will give lots of well researched info.

in Cambridge

Here is the list: Basil, Clary Sage

Marjoram Rosewood

Thyme Hyssop

Wintergreen Bergamot

Juniperberry Cinnamon

Clove Nutmeg

Camphor white Sweet Fennel

Aniseed Cajeput

I don't even know what some of these are..........

and one heavenly 5 kg unopened bottle of Patchouli FO. and 200 new 25 ml

essential oil bottles !!!!!!

If I can't use them in soaps and lotions, please, please tell me............

what can I use them for ?

Hugs and blessings, .

,you lucky thing! You'll need to buy yourself a book; there are

many inexpensive ones that give a brief description of each EO.

Rosewood is heavenly in potpourri - smells like rose but much

cheaper. Thyme doesn't smell real good, but I use it in a

disinfectant room spray that goes on all the light switches and

doorknobs when someone in the house is sick. Clary sage I use in a

room spray as well - along with lavender as a stress reliever!

Juniper is great in a bath product and helps sore muscles. Sweet

fennel is a good one to put in a facial product - like a toner. I

use basil in a spray to increase attention - mainly used in my

office while at the computer! Oh, my are you going to have some fun

learning about these!

essential

- it's the same as using fo's. Just pour and sniff. If one acts

up, make a note of it, and pour earlier in trace next time. Same as

you would fo use. Some are stronger, some are lighter. Sniff and see

if it needs more. (or less) Hold 2 bottles next to your nose to see

if they smell good together. I do fo and eo the same, for me, I do a

tablespoon and see how that goes.

You have the good fortune to expand your knowlege due to her

generous gift! I'm sad for her that she's closing shop, tho. It's

hard to make a living at art.

You are one lucky lady.

If I had that much clary sage oil, I'd think I was in heaven.

Is the cinnamon from the leaf or from the bark? That one can be very

caustic.

's right.... you need to know what they are all for, and which ones can

cause problems.

Hi Joyce, many thanks for your help.

Yes, it is sad that she is giving up her business. She has been doing it for

a very long time and I guess that she is just tired of it. I did tell her

that if she ever wants any of the oils back, I would be happy to return

them.
