Hi Abraham,

welcome, sorry we are meeting under such circumstances. I'm new to the

group as well but got diagnosis a year and a half ago. Ive been in a " flare "

since I had knee surgery in January - that kind of tipped my apple cart so to

speak and I've been out of work since the end of April. I decided to file for

disability because I see no end in sight to this flare and I decided filing

the paperwork would not hurt, and if I get well then I just go back to work

(I'm a nurse, 43, mother of 2, married, big dog and a student as well)

It's amazing how you were diagnosed so quickly. I'm kinda jealous! It took

me 10 YEARS to get mine! I was told many different possibilities as well,

although no one would commit to one, I heard Lupus, Epstein Barr Virus,

possible Chronic Fatigue or Fibro, was even treated for Lymes.... you get the

idea.... I was even told " maybe you are depressed " and I answered " to my

knowledge depression does not cause fevers " . I can only imagine how many times

I

was put on antibiotics based on the elevated white cell count even though I was

not coughing, or congested, urine was clear, chest xray clear, over and

over!!! Then my sister got diagnosed with Lupus 5 or 6 years ago, so then they

were thinking more likely Lupus, yet all those labs came back negative!! But

eventually we found that my liver and spleen were enlarged, like yours, and

the white cells got up over 33K (which was my first Still's admission - and

only to date, let's keep our fingers crossed)

Anyway, you've come to a great group of people. Even though I hold an RN

license these folks all know WAY more than me on this topic and I'm learning

and learning every day!

So welcome, they are a funny bunch, and you will get comfort, info and some

laughs along the way!
