another picking thing - other kids or ?/Jean

Tonight I noticed that the skin tag on 's neck is dark brown

rather than the regular light brown or skin color. I asked him about it,

because it looked like it'd been scratched at or something - it looked

like maybe it was irritated from it. He told us that some of the kids at

school pull on it! We told him that he has to tell them to not do that,

because it can cause it to bleed. I told him we can get it taken off,

but he isn't interested. I asked if *he* has been picking at it,

but he said " no. " I don't know whether or not to believe that after he

picked at his canker sore, but perhaps it's the other kids picking at it.

I'll send a note to his teacher tomorrow to ask her to keep an eye on

it. In the meantime, is now holding his shirt collar in his

mouth so his shirt pulls up to cover his skin tag. As he went out of the

door just now, I noticed he'd wrapped his bed sheet around his neck. He

says he's taking his sheet because the gym (where a school-sponsored

storytelling event will be held tonight) gets cold at night, but I

suspect there's more to it. I hope we don't have any trouble with shirts

tomorrow morning over this.
