Guest guest
Here's a suggestion: Take either Ferrofood (Standard Process) OR Ferrotate Jr. (Key) AND with your iron supplement also take Chlorophyll Complex (Standard Process). You will be getting quality absorbable iron that will not irritate your stomach. These are available through some chiropractors offices. Call around. jp Iron supplement and enlarged spleen Hi, I have been diagnosed with severe iron deficiency anemia. The doctor told me to take an iron supplement, but I hear they are hard on the stomach. Can anyone suggest another source of iron that would be as effective? Someone suggested dessicated liver, but 6 LARGE tablets only provide 2.3 mg of iron, whereas one of my iron supplements provides 27 mg. I will be retested in a couple of months. Also, I have an enlarged spleen (no mono). Searching the internet I found several diseases that are indicted by an enlarged spleen, but I don't have any of the other symptons of those diseaases except for the anemia. Maybe the anemia itself has caused my spleen to become enlarged??? Any suggestions on what I could do or take to reduce my spleen? I appreciate any thoughts. Guest guest
Hi Joy, Use some beet juice or powder or New Jersey Tea and it will bring up your blood count in about 48 hrs. K. Guest guest
Thank you . I thought I could get through life without ever having to eat a beet, but maybe not. Anyway, the juice or powder shouldn't be so bad. I've never heard of New Jersey Tea, but I see that there is lots of info available on the internet.
