Violet. About 600 pounds. Gentle. I have not milked her, but she is a pet and I think she would adapt quickly. First Calf 5 July 2009 and the Swiss cross heifer is still nursing. Mama is bred back and due about Christmas time +/-. $850.00. Her calf (Shirley) is half Brown Swiss, sire was from a top herd in NC. $500.00.#2. Coming 3 year old Jersey/Holstein Cross. Lilly. DoB 21 September 2007. Gentle, hand raised and a good producer. First Cald 31 October 2009. Again, I have not milked her, calf is still nursing. Likely bred. $950.00. #3. Her Dam. 5 year old Red Holstein/Milking Shorthorn. DoB 30 June 2005. Fine cow. Raises excellent calves. 1000 + pounds. Third calf 26 November 2009, Calf still nursing. Has been used to nurse multiples. Bred for Christmas delivery. $1050.00. The first cow came from a small organic dairy, the others I have raised myself on a 95+% forage diet. Some (2-3 pounds/head/ day) grain in winter for extra energy. Email for pictures. Will consider delivery within 300 miles of Fayetteville, NC for $0.75/loaded mile. Deposit required before delivery.Bill DunlapRoseboro, NC
