Guest guest
I have struggled to understand my collection of oriental herbal medicine for decades. Then got a great mentor with both traditional allopathic and Chinese medicine training and have found some promising options in the Chinese herbals. The most effective and rapid treatment for the 300 million in the world getting malaria per WHO and UNICEF is Artemisia derivative medicines. It has clear malaria, Babesia (9-12 human forms) and cancer benefits. But not something that lends itself to an email summary of the benefits, dosing, forms, risks, etc. I just published the first text in English on this Chinese herb for patients with as much practical info as possible. The only two other advanced research texts available were not functional for regular physicians or patients. http://www.amazon.com/Herb-Artemisinin-Babesia-Malaria-Cancer/dp/0978747313/sr=8\ -1/qid=1160191225/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-0251825-2330321?ie=UTF8 & s=books Since some folks, when ill, struggle with motives and have perceptions of unrealistic profit, I have only lost money in every book I have ever published. Folks who do not write sometimes have fantasies of vast riches from what is really lost income and lost seasons of energy. While it is not something to complain about, it is a service and a service which is highly tedious and uniquely depleting. Perhaps of use to some. Best regards, Schaller, MD www.HopeAcademic.com [] Has anyone tried Dang Qui (Radix angelicae sinensis) for mold illness? From what I'm reading, it looks like it might be useful for mold illness.. even for men.. (Its known as 'the women's herb' in Chinese medicine) Are there any doctors on here who know anything about it.. Are there any risks - esp.for men? ??? Guest guest
Your response had not posted yet when I sent mine. We both seemed to respond to this question at the same time. It is impressive to me when an MD spends the time to learn about herbs. Traditional Chinese herbology is very complex which people do not always understand. More and more research is being done on the active ingredients in many of the Chinese herbs. As someone who is struggling to finish my own book (on addiction for acupuncturists) and knowing others who have had books published, what you say is very true. Sadly, I lost my entire 10 year collection of research papers as well as all my reference books and entire medical book collection on Chinese Medicine to mold. This has made the completion of my book an excruciating process for me. Though I continue to write articles, the book is a tough one for me to finish without access to my material. I think it odd and often wonder about a love of writing that I seemed to acquire all the while when exposed to elevated levels of mycotoxins that made reading a book nearly impossible for me. While I could sit and write for 16 hours straight, I struggled to get through one chapter of a book. Ironically prior to mold exposure I loathed writing and loved reading. Clearly something shifted in my brain.....Hmmmm, go figure.
