In the video game industry, there is a huge buzz right now about a game

called " Spore " that is coming out 'any day now'. It is supposed to be really

incredible, as computer games go.

Maxis, the people who made The Sims, etc. are going to be publishing it..

If you do a google search on maxis spore you can check out some gameplay

videos..

I thought " Spore " would make a great title for a new Robin Cook medical

thriller...

Cathe, You must have read my mind. I just saw a copy of Toxin by Robin Cook

and thought he would be great to write a book about this illness. " Spore

would be

the perfect title!! It should would scare a whole lot of people

but that's what needs to be done.

I wondered after I posted if I came off as dingy suggesting such a title. I've

recently started reading all the Robin Cook titles after having read " Coma " oh,

twenty-some years ago.

When I was having trouble with candida a few years ago, my husband suggested I

write a story about a fungus that takes over people's bodies (if you're familiar

with candida then you know that's not far-fetched.) I like to write but I'm not

that involved nor that disciplined to write a novel. Mr. (Dr.!!) Cook could

definitely handle fungus invasion inside or outside of the body...and make

people think. Glad you thought of it too, Sue!!

I saw that movie but didn't remember it as being a fungus. Hmmm, have to check

the book out and take another look.

Robin Cook is an M.D. who's also an author. He wrote " Coma " in the 70's...he

writes about weird experiments stemming from everyday medical procedures.

( " Coma " was made into a movie, also.) He writes medical thrillers, mostly.

I am making a list of shows that have to do with mold. X Files had

many shows dealing with the almost supernaturel nature of molds, the

movie Dark Water must have been written by someone with an apartment

mold problem
