Jo honey,

I can tell you that 10 years ago when I had first gotten my disability

my first check was back pay to the year I was diagnosed. Of course

things could have changed since then since it was so long ago. Also

honey, it didn't take that long (6 months as you think) from approval

but again, it may have changed. Your best bet would be to contact SS

either by phone or online.

I wish you luck with it and see no reason why you wouldn't get it.
