Guest guest
Dear Ones, I have started another pot, but must wait six and one-half days to harvest again. I have two bottle of Dr. Sklenar's lovely KT which my daughter found again in the internet. I don't dare drink enough of it, because it is so expensive. Two ounces a day doesn't get the same good results that 8 ounces does. I just love my new KT. Can't wait for more to brew. Before I accidentally lost my kefir grains down the drain, I would harvest and rebrew at the same time. Took only ten minutes. My daughter gave me her starter. Just plain liquid kefir which she pours into milk and leaves out on the counter. She makes just a couple of cups at a time. For the time being, I pay a fortune for organic kefir from the Amish at Magruder's in Silver Spring. Then I mix several tablespoonfuls of that organic kefir with several tablespoonfuls of whole-milk ricotta cheese and add some Dole strawberry-kiwi or orange-pineapple-banana juice to get enough calories for a meal. I drink this through a big straw. My metabolism is so fast that I struggle to keep from losing one or two pounds overnight. I was 149 pounds last year, but am down to 130 pouns now. For decades I was 5 ft. 4. in. tall and weighed 210 pounds, whether I ate or not. I lost part of it, a pound a day for twenty five days around the year 2000, after overcoming severe asthmatic bronchitis. At senior lunch, they whip liquid smoothies and make pureed foods for me Bless them. While others fight calories, I grab them. Ha. Blessings on you all. LOve. MArge.
