Neither one of you were meant to keep these jobs and there is something better for you out there somewhere. As for those that ask the silly questions, " When are you coming back to work? " and " When will you be well again? " ...I'd suggest you carry with you the Spoon Theory and hand it to them. I'd be happy to give you the link if you need so you can print it out. Personally, I have a few copies in my car just in case. About work, have either one of you applied for SSI/D yet? If not, I'd suggest you do. It could take a couple of years to get and yes, you can still work part time depending on the amount of money you earn at that job. I have a friend that works at the SSI office here in Florida. Mind you each state is different so what goes here does not necessarily work somewhere else. However, she's offered to help with general questions if you have any. That goes for all Stilligans.
