Guest guest
Hi, I read some of the posts and I cannot believe how much kombucha some of you produce daily. I guess that some of you share it with family members. I was just wondering if there is such a thing as too much kombucha? Did anyone ever had any side effects? To the people that drink a lot: How much kombucha do you drink in a day? On the other hand is there such thing as a minimum that someone should drink in order to benefit from it? Thank you Alina

That means that she consumed about 6 litres that week (I make that about 1 1/2 US gallons?). She is fine now...;-) My husband drinks a regular amount of 3/4 to a litre of KT diluted with fizzy spring water. I drink on average about 1/2 a litre undiluted spread in small amounts over the day. > I was just wondering if there is such a thing as too much kombucha? For someone who is not used to KT and may have health issues the amounts we drink would be far too steep. Some people can only tolerate very small amounts to start with, and that, even though Kombucha is NOT a drug, but a super food. As with food generally, what suits one person, will not suit another. There is also the issue of caffeine, and the diuretic effect of Kombucha. I try not to have any Kombucha before bed, otherwise I will spend a lot of my night trotting to the loo instead of sleeping (I have not yet perfected to sleepwalk to the loo ;-) Also, the caffeine might keep a caffeine sensitive person awake. You see, it's difficult to generalise, as the 'rules' differ so much from person to person. As to the question of overdosing or drinking a most beneficial amount - this varies from person to person. My daughter, in her effort to fight her nasty bug drank lots of Kombucha, which seemed to have flushed out some of the poisons created through her sickness. Normally, she would just drink a glass of Kombucha a day. Your body will tell you when Kombucha would be a good thing to have or not to have. As for me, most of the time I just enjoy my 'WonderBooze'! ;-) kombuchaly, Margret:-) -- +------------------ Minstrel@... --------------------+ http://www.therpc.f9.co.uk/family/scobygrow/home.html http://bavarianminstrel.wordpress.com http://www.hebrew4christians.com/index.html creation.com I couldn't wait for success, so I went ahead without it.
