Hi ya all

 Well I will get right to it

 Saturday night my wife bought a new necklace for her self and I was playing

around with it. It is the kind that is a spring of wire thing with no clasp just

a loop of wire and a small metal ball on each end. Well I opened it up and put

in on the out side of my ears like a docs stethoscope and the right side slipped

off and shot down and into the ear canal. Talk about instant pain, getting sick

to your gut and sweating and that’s not saying some of the words that were

flying at the same time. Well the blood was flowing for a bit then stopped.

Sunday I stayed home and rested just not feeling well and with a killer head ack

and I do mean killer (Kirk if yours are close to this one dam I feel for ya as I

never had any thing like this before fact is I would rather throw a kidney stone

then this pain) today I went to the doc as I am still hurting bad and I do mean

bad .I am also a bit well unbalanced or should say more so then normal. Well

come to

find out I have torn a hole in my right ear drum and ripped about half the

drum off around the canal. Now I am waiting for an ear, nose and throat doc to

call me and look at it. But I have been told chances are I have damaged it badly

and most likely my hearing as well. it sucks as it was my good ear to began

with as it only had a 25% lose were the other one was already at almost 50%

again all form one stupid mistake years ago at a shooting range when a person

next to me disobeyed the range officer and fired a large hand gun after the

range was close and we were checking our targets. This was an indoor range and

he was next to me. Well my ears bleed that time to. So now I told the wife I

have to get a new truck stereo and larger am0p and better speakers as I can feel

mine but can not hear them so need bigger and more power but she was not buying

it darn it LOL. Any hoot I am hoping it is not that bad but as it is right now I

can hear almost nothing

out of it and walking is kind of hard as I feel like I am falling down and the

pressure is starting to build up behind it.

  I do not lose my hearing ( all thou then I could get away with but I did not

here ya honey or with the kids I can not hear ya LOL)  I am a bit scared as the

pain is really bad and my pain meds are not even taking the edge off of it and

sleep ya right and the ear is still discharging some and not a very good color

or smell so not a good thing and as my doc said you need to see some one if

possible to day and if you have not heard from any on by today call first thing

in the morning  as he most likely may send me to the hospital then but I need

to see a E,N,T doc no matter what and what ever it takes to get me into one ASAP

is what we need to do. So that is were it stands

 Any way pray or wish me the best as I think I am going to need it

 o Ya if you clean out your ears with Q tips ya may want to rethink that as

what I did is the most conmen thing that happens from q tips and doing some ear

research it turns out it is one of the biggest no no's a person could do to

there ears and hearing. Fact of the matter is there have even been some deaths

from it because of infections cause by damaging the eardrum and that is also a

concern right now for my self, infection. They say an infection in that area is

so bad and deadly because it is a very short shot to the brain and a very direct

one at that

 So ya know that scared me and has me also worried big time. All because of

playing around and being silly. one second and balm now this to deal with dam

and hear I know better after all the years fighting to make sure my daughter

kept her hearing because of all her ear infections and problems and operations

including the last one to try and repair her scared and damaged ear drum but no

I go and play around any way
