Guest guest
Water often has an off odor caused by decaying organic matter. If you are in a larger city, the residual chlorine from the chlorination process should prevent mold growth. Unfortunately, chlorination does not destroy these dissolved organics. that is best achieved by activated carbon filtration, as done in some cities, recommended by EPA. If your city is not one of these, you can try a faucet filtration system, available from most home improvement stores, such as Lowes or Home Depot. Even a simpler filter such as a Brita pitcher type filter should help remove these dissolved organics. These filters also remove residual chlorine, destroying its taste. Though expensive, this should be more inexpensive than continually using bottled water. Ask neighbors if any have filters and smell their filtered water. mold in water? Posted by: " kdeanstudios@...
