hello in Houston. My name is Del. I'm 54 and was dx''d o ver two yrs ago. I've probably had HEP C from the 70's just didn't know it. I'm a twice non responder and probably will not have the chance to try again, with this liver. My first dx indicated HEPC stage 2b w/ ESLD. I am pretty familiar with St' Lukes and Texas Liver Assoc. (two yr. patient)...and the MED Center.. If I can be of any help with info, finding cheap ,parking , as ten dollars for four or more hours adds up to be a ridicoulous amount of money ,etc...real quick.. Write me and fill me in alittle about your situation. I have a phone# which I could send, if needed. Wellcome to the JUNGLE!!!!!!! You are in a great place here... Del Compton Deb

Don't let the stories of others scare you. HCV and liver disease does follow a natural progression and time line many

similarities different for geno type - different tx schedules - how long with chronic HCV - how much liver damage and form other factors and other combined medical complications and dx's etc ...... Many people will never progress down all the stages and some a small % will spontaneously clear the virus after contracting it. If medical science know how and why and the many other still medical unknowns about HCV we would all be in better shape. HCV research - tx - vaccine - sure cure and development is a constant ongoing medical research project in the making with many new discoveries and with many of us as long term medical case studies for

the future. Medicine is not an exact science. Many HCV Specialists have different opinions on - pt care - tx guidelines - length of tx - failed responders/relapsers and for each geno type and pt. Are you being seen and tx'ed by a HCV Specialist ??? What is next for you - Dr appt's - any labs or

testing results ???? All The Best. Deb
