Guest guest
I did not find much difference between the inexpensive culture plates I've done and professional testing I also paid for, same areas. $25 a plate, analyized by Dallas Clinic. They let plate culture for 6-8 weeks. I don't think you can do better than that. On tests talked about at POA site, there turn around time is 10 days for culture plates and some mold take longer to culture than others. --- Leigh McCall-Alton <mccallalton@...> wrote: > I had to pay 400 fo 1 air sample and 75 exta > for the trip charge. >

Guest guest
No, the indoor air quality guy came recommended by indoor air quality organization recommended by many over in the IEQuality group, a group of professional air quality professionals, some of which are in this group also, like May, Carl Grimes and HealthyHomes, to name some. These are the two referral sites I have: I think I used one I found at iaga.org. Anyway, I made a list and I used that list of ones that are here so don't refer to the sites again but I believe this is where I found prof testor I used. http://www.normi.org/ <http://www.iaqa.org/member_listings/members_new.asp> ANYWAY, my Pro Lab tests said tests of house only reveals normal levels of mold. However said porch had elevated levels and also said attic had elevated levels. Professional testor said the same, so...? Professional testor did not catch any mold that was not listed as being caught in mold plates. Guy was very nice and actually tested more areas than he charges me for since he was not finding much. HOWEVER I had him here in DEAD of winter and I have to emphasize DEAD since humidity level in home was only 28% (per his reading too), so I'm sure there was not much mold activity at humidity levels that low. I may have him back to retest attic in summer heat since I cannot go up their now that I am so sick and I guess shouldn't have anyone else go up there. I just like to do swab test of some blackish residue on some wood up there to see if it is mold. --- Leigh McCall-Alton <mccallalton@...> wrote: > and that guy came recommended by our mutual > doctor. >
