Well... that was a miserable 24 odd hours!!!! Relief at last that I don't have to continually go to the bathroom to pb my own saliva. It was so bad... I have never felt like that with this band ever. Why is it in perfect working order when leaving the surgeons yesterday and them whammo... about 4pm completely closed up. It was quite scary... couldn't even eat a small chip of ice or I would start heaving... sorry everyone with the graphic details!

Tried it all... lemon cordial - no ice... lemon tea - warm... lemon cordial - with ice... nothing was going through, not even a wee small chip of ice. I rang the surgeons office only to be told that he was out of town for a week, the other surgeon was not available after 10am and not back in the office till Monday... and not one radioligist who could do unfills available until early next week! Great... I'll be dead by Monday!!!!

They found a radiologist over at the public who has been sort of trained to do these things and was I willing to let him have a go... YES!!!! I was at the unable to swallow stage... I was spitting the saliva out to save myself the heaving. So... I am 0.3ml down as Cherie told you and had a very small cup of week coffee (for the headache) and a small apple and blackcurrent juice - and 1 cruskit with pate - my stomach is gurgling and sounds like a giant plug hole... but liquid is going through nicely. THANK GOODNESS! I was starting to feel quite faint from lack of liquid - and the girl at radiology said I was borderline needing a drip so to start drinking asap or she was going to insist I go over to the ER and get a drip put in.

This bit of fill is just going to have to do me now for a while I think.

Mel
