We just did a two week course of Amoxicillin and Metronidazole for my sons H-pylori. Not sure if it has eradicated it but he did pretty well (after the first week). He seems happier in himself too! We have to re-test 12 weeks after the treatment, which is about 6 weeks time now. In what way did amoxicillin mess things up?? you can use lots of supporting pro-biotics and yeast killers to help with this?Sophie x To:

Does anyone know what the current treatment is for this, and if it is effective.

My dd is having a very difficult time at the moment, and the doctor is testing her (!!!) for this and strep... and I am awaiting a call to say she has it, and this is what the GP wants to do about it. Any alternatives?? we have just done a course of amoxacillin and it just messes up everything...

cheers
