Guest guest
i put laminate flooring (looks like hardwood) in my bedroom, & i can tolerate that pretty well, i think....and i KNOW its better than the carpeting that was in there. (keeps the dust down, etc.) the less allergens....the less problems, the way i see it. (but what does yours truly know, lol?) victoria [] cork vs. ceramic tiles which do you suggest? i must replace a nasty carpet. Which is preferable, cork or ceramic? i know they are both expensive so, if I have other choices, please let me know. This IS an expensive illness as we are all aware. also, what is the glue we can usually tolerate? I read about it somewhere. thanks. ps. Feeling more human today so far. thanks everyone for being a few typing fingers away.
Guest guest
the absolute safest is ceramic tile with plain nonadditive portland cement used under and as the grout. people can generally tolerate elmer's glue. felice <anupath14@...> wrote: which do you suggest? i must replace a nasty carpet. Guest guest
Laminate contains formaldehyde, etc. and if Pergo flooring in other areas of the house bother you that is the possibility that laminate will as well. Not everyone is sensitive to chemicals, etc. but it could be an idea to err on the side of caution. <toriaquilts@...> wrote: i put laminate flooring (looks like hardwood) in my bedroom, & i can tolerate that pretty well, i think....and i KNOW its better than the carpeting that was in there.
